On average, 10 older people fall every day in each local authority area as a result of poor pavements. Any fall can lead to serious injuries and increased social isolation.
June 23rd is national Falls Awareness Day – on this day, and every day, please take action to report unsafe pavements that could put local older people at risk. You can contact your local authority direct – or use the report form on Age Concern Help the Aged’s campaign site.
