FREE TRAINING – HELPING YOUR USERS ACCESS ADVICE

by admin on October 28, 2009

LAST CHANCE TO BOOK THIS FREE TRAINING

Due to the popularity of the previous courses in other regions, Age Concern & Help the Aged have added an additional date and venue (Calderdale) to the original programme

Thursday 19th November, Kings Centre, Park Road, Halifax from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm.

Do your service users need advice?

Do you want to make sure they get the best advice possible?

FREE training is available for workers or volunteers within your organisation to help you:

·         Provide information to users in response to advice queries

·         Enable users to access services

·         Help users find other sources of advice or information that will be of use to them

·         Safeguard your users’ confidentiality

We offer this FREE training with LUNCH PROVIDED to help local organisations that do not have dedicated, paid and trained information and advice staff.  The course is designed to help you to provide basic information to your service users or signpost them to appropriate advice providers

The training can also be useful for local organisations that need to train new employees/volunteers to provide information and signposting to service users

Although the course is organized by Age Concern and Help the Aged it is relevant to all local organisations, not just those that deal with older people.

You can download further information, a programme for the day, and a booking form.

Please book now to avoid disappointment.
